Mold Control on a Budget
Testing & Removal Self-Help Information

As an environmental inspector - and as someone who has experienced mold and chemical sensitivities, as well as electromagnetic sensitivities - I keep my ears peeled for things that might improve my health and help various clients. On this page, I'll pass on to you some of the stories that caught my interest, as well as occasional products mentioned by clients. Sherrie Cliff

Please be advised that I am NOT a health care practitioner. I have no training in health matters and would refer you to your physician with any questions regarding the below.

I have started on bio-identical hormone therapy and pass on to you a statement from my physician: Check out any medical conditions. Then check hormone levels. Symptoms may dissolve once hormones are in balance. Then proceed from there.

Classical Homeopathy

Some clients had amazing stories to relate when working with practitioners of classical homeopathy (one remedy at a time, not a shotgun approach of multiple remedies).

For example, Sherrie Cliff had been having a dozen seizures a day from exposure to soaps, shampoos, laundry products, anything. After homeopathic treatment over a period of about 18 months, she was 95% better and able live a mostly normal life. Now she's about to start a job, after being sick for 7 years and practically housebound.

I had had migraines from exposures to various chemicals. Two years after having my mercury fillings taken out and working with homeopathy, the migraines left. I've been free of these headaches for a dozen years now.

Mercury toxicity

Alfred Zamm, M.D., Kingston, NY, talks of detoxifying his patients who had mercury fillings (silver amalgam fillings) removed with liquid selenium. He said it took about 3 months to do this, and patients reported feeling much better. Very sensitive patients had to be put on a much slower protocol. I don't know what his slow protocol is, but I can tolerate only 1 drop of the solution in a glass of water. Any more, and I can hardly stay awake.

MS - Multiple Sclerosis

My client told of being diagnosed in the late 80s. She decided to go a natural route instead of prescription medications. After research (including sending different products to a testing lab for confirmation of their strength), she settled on 3 oils:

Oil of primrose, 1300 mg, Jarrow Formulas

  Borage oil, Nature's Plus

Grape Complete with pine bark, from Country Life

Although she hadn't taken MS medicines, she has been under the care of a physician and has been monitored. She told me how an MRI would show plaque in her brain. The next MRI would show new plaque, with the older spots gone. From this, she deduced that her brain was self-healing. Could it be self-healing from beginning Alzheimer's, too? Or could the oils be a preventative measure?

She has suffered poor eyesight and other issues from MS, but she is still functioning as a professional. She said that those she knew with MS from the 80s and early 90s who went on conventional medications are either in wheelchairs or dead.

She had ordered the first two products from Life Extension Foundation (membership fee). She said that when she sent product samples away for lab testing in the early 90s, that products from LEF tested good, and she had confidence in them. www.lef.org

Rife Generator

I hadn't heard in years from one client who had been ill with MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity) for years. Then she called to say that her life seemed to have been turned around over the course of one month. Her energy was up, her sensitivities down, and she could sleep. She credited the changes to work with a Rife generator. On the phone, she sounded like a new person.

She bought her unit from John Wright at www.jwlabs.com for under $1000. I may eventually purchase one for rental, for those who want to try it prior to purchase. If you might be interested in a rental, please e-mail me so I get some sense of whether this would be viable or not.

I spoke at length with John and with Cherry at Customer Service. They both sounded genuine and knowledgeable. The generator has been reported to reduce microorganisms, parasites, and ionize heavy metals for easier removal. Originally, in the 30s it was developed to treat people with cancer, but then it disappeared from sight for a while. Recently, Microwave News reported on Israeli research linking a weak current with reduction of cancer, www.microwavenews.org.

If you purchase a Rife generator, please let me know your experience. John and Cherry are there to get people started with the unit, so that there isn't too much exposure in the beginning.

UV Blood Treatments

John Wright says that the Rife Generator does what UV blood treatments do, only without taking blood out of the body. With UV blood treatments, blood is removed, set under UV light, and then returned to the body. Microorganisms are knocked out. Sherrie had this done on her first bout with severe MCS, and it restored her life. Then, the physician died, and she lost track of the machine for awhile.

From her research, only the older technology UV blood treatment is effective, and there are only a few practitioners using the old machines. Feedback from the newer portable machines is lukewarm. To learn who has one of the older technology machines, please email me. Or, if you know of a practitioner who has one, please let me know. Thanks!

Note: This is a page under construction. If you have any stories relating to this list, please share them with me. Or, if you know of something that should be considered for inclusion on the list, please send me a few sentences on that, too.

Sherrie and I are trying to assemble a basic maintenance, do-it-yourself toolbox. Chlorella may be one of the next inclusions. We're trying to keep this list specific and relatively low-cost - our own maintenance shopping list. Neither one of us are oriented toward a lot of supplements.

Sherrie owns The Wooden Bowl, an affordable home re-design service in the Scranton, PA, area, plus will soon be a real estate agent, if you are moving from or to the area. Sherrie can be reached at 1-570-489-2467.
